Responsibilities
• Orchestrate collaboration with application teams, reviewing JIRA requests and task assignments.
• Pinpoint and address database bottlenecks especially related to performance of database clusters, create stories to rectify issues.
• Understand new requirements, Plan and Execute Data Modeling for these databases.
• Deliver Level 3 support for Database performance challenges. Conduct performance reviews for the team, guiding personal and professional growth.
• Strategize and coordinate on-call rotations, especially during peak holiday seasons.
• Initiate proof of concepts (POCs) to explore cutting-edge tools and technologies.
• Spearhead daily stand-up calls to gather team updates and offer technical guidance.
• Generate JIRA requests outlining requirements for new clusters, assigning tasks systematically.
• Strategically build and lead dynamic teams by aligning recruitment efforts with forecasted workloads, ensuring a seamless match between workforce capacity and the demands of upcoming projects.
• This proactive approach enables us to optimize team composition, maintain operational efficiency, and consistently deliver exceptional results in line with anticipated workload fluctuations.
• Furnish comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major database escalations. Will work at various unanticipated locations throughout the US for long-term projects
